The inner sanctum of fear
Today games seem to have an aspect of art. I was in awe with some of the visuals and even the theme of selected games. Metal gear solid is a good example for art, graphically and originality. We have to thank the game designer and Mr. director, Hideo Kojima for his grace achievements through the years. These idols have the idea of art in perspective among with great game designers alike.
My ideal art for the game is not visual or design. But the context of fears itself. Fear is complex to be put into a game and without the finishing polishes or the wrong atmosphere. It would turn the world upside down.
Why does fear class as art? It has the same intentions as its counterparts of visual and the latter Fear gives you a sense of being more involved into the universe that was created by the game designer. It gives you the feeling of fear and making your hair stick up. I remember the first time I was covering myself with cushions from the chair to hide myself from resident evil 2 at young age. But still I had the image in my mind and I couldn’t shake the feeling off.
This was the first time I was involved with the resident evil series and made me into the gamer I am today ((got to thank my uncle for that pleasant moment)).

The point for this topic is for me to show fear is a part of art. It gives you the feeling off pausing the game for a few seconds, feeling the sweat from your hands and then saying, “This is too crazy”. Capcom has imprinted fear into the resident evil series and created the survival horror craze. But I must admit, 4 didn’t give me the art of fear that I craved for (from the early projects that I wished to see.). But alas, I have to wait until resident Wii chronicles or 5 to remember old school.
Fear is a part off mankind, and today it’s been put into films, shows, books, games, art and so on. This is the attraction of fear itself. I look at these for inspiration to remember we’re only human and fear will always be in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to make you scream, turning your blood cold.
This is why fear is a piece of art among with other senses of the human nature. This is what creates the sense off pressure to the gamers when playing horror titles. But do we quite when we’re almost too having a seizure? No. This is the beauty off the balance and how we as humans face our worst dreams in the front of our faces and fight back. It’s the way of instinct.
If you have any opinions about your ideas of what art is, then replies will be nice.
Thanks for reading.
