MIT hackers prank Harvard statue with Master Chief’s Helmet, Assault Rifle

MIT and Harvard University, both situated in the same city Cambridge, have a century-old amicable rivalry. MIT and Harvard students are known for pranks, known as "hacks", against their rival schools.

In honor of Halo Day, MIT’s latest hack today decorates the John P. Harvard statue in Harvard Yard with a Master Chief’s Spartan helmet, an assault rifle (bullet count of 2E) and a Beaver emblem on the right shoulder. The back of the helmet reads: "Master Chief in Training."
