Nintendo Wii Breakdown: November 2007-Part One

November’s almost here and that means one hell of a holiday season for gamers’. Kicking things off with the Wii, heres an update on all of the upcoming November releases headed to a Wii near you.

November 6th-8th

Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn- The next installment in the long running RPG series from Nintendo. RPG

Geometry Wars: Galaxies- A Wii version of the hit Xbox Live Marketplace title. Puzzle

Ghost Squad- A lightgun shooter that will make use of the Wii Zapper peripheral. Shooter (Lightgun)

High School Musical: Sing It!- A video game take on the popular Disney Channel film. Rhythm

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga: LEGO Star Wars 1 and 2 packaged together with new levels and motion sensitive controls. Action/Adventure

Medal of Honor 2: Heroes- New game in the popular World War II oriented series. Shooter (1st Person)

My Word Coach- Educational game built to teach proper spelling and grammar. Educational

My 2 cents (or whatever they’re worth): Fire Emblem is exciting, the Gamecube installment, Path of Radiance, was a great RPG. Geometry Wars was great on the Live Marketplace, and should be no different here, nothing short of addictive. Ghost Squad will likely be a fun shooter in the vein of Time Crisis, a nice way to kill a few hours I’m sure. My Word Coach looks to be an interesting title, mostly for younger audiences. The rest is rather unimpressive. Medal of Honor gets less exciting with every installment. LEGO Star Wars is a great game, but I’ve already played through both, so if you haven’t, pick this one up. High School Musical is, well, High School Musical.

Not a bad week overall, some decent titles both 1st and 3rd party for Nintendo’s console. Check back soon for the next installment.
