My Fab Five for November 2007
1. Assassins Creed- I just can not wait to get my hands on this game. I have always been a stealthy game fan and loved playing titles such as Thief: Deadly Shadows for the Xbox, the Splinter Cell series, and The Elder Scrolls Morrowind/Oblivion. Now that someone finally has created an assassin game with free roaming environments and an very unique battle system it seems all my hopes have come true. I feel this game can redefine next gen platforming games and stealth tactics games alike. Just thinking about all the possibilities you can do in this game and being able to assassinate your target anytime, anywhere is amazing. This could possibly be one of my favorite games of all time if it ends up as good as it looks.
2. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare- I am a online shooter fanatic. Anything from Halo, Gears of War, and Battlefield, it just seems I cant get enough of them. Seeing the Call of Duty franchise move to more modern gameplay makes me ecstatic. For too long have there been repeated WWII shooters and now they finally take it modern. With the gameplay of the beta, and all the videos and articles I have read, this is a must buy.
3. Mass Effect- This game promises to redefine the sci-fi gaming genre all together. At least in my opinion. Just watching some videos on Youtube made me follow this game pretty thoroughly and every day it seems to look better and better.
4. Army of Two- Although I feel that good ol split screen co-op games are pretty much deceased because of how popular online games are now, this still looks fresh and amazing. This game reminds me of Splinter Cell mixed with Freedom Fighters, which is an odd but interesting combo. Time will tell if this game is worth the buy. Update: Delayed-Early 2008
5. Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles- I plan on playing this until my eyes bleed. It looks like it will be hours of fun and is something fresh. Not to forget that I am a huge Resident Evil fan and this promises to clear up a lot of loose ties.
