The Exclusive GTA IV PS3

GTA IV is one of the biggest games releasing for Sony PS3 this year. Metal Gear 4 is another one of them. Even though GTA IV isn’t exclusive to the PS3, Sony isn’t going to stop itself from treating GTA IV as “exclusive”. Thus Sony has launched is an official Grand Theft Auto IV bundle that will pack the game in along with the 40GB PlayStation 3 model.

Unfortunately people who were expecting to get the latest Dual Shock 3 Gamepad with the new bundle, will get the normal SIXAXIS one. This news is most disappointing for the Australian Gamers since they will have to purchase the Dual Shock 3 Gamepad for a shocking 99$AUD when it is released this week.

GTA IV Won’t Be Delayed!

It’s not yet fixed whether Take Two will accept Electronic Arts 2Million$ offer or not, analyst are saying that GTA IV won’t be delayed. Take Two CEO Ben Feder said that the game is “in production and in trucks en route to retailers.” GTA IV is rated M for Mature and the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version are going to be released on April 29. Analyst are already predicting bumper opening for GTA IV. Last year in October Janco Partner’s Mike Hickey projected global opening-week sales of more than 9.5 million, with 5.8 million units turning up in US consumers’ hands alone. Take Two is hoping to generate revenue in excess of 400Million$.

2008 - The unofficial Year Of Gaming

Yes It Is! With so many good games being launched or going to be launched and nothing interesting going to happen in the field of Technology 2008 is rightfully the Year of Gaming. Some other things which may take the crown away at the end of this year are “Merger” because of Microsoft and Yahoo merger.

All this and only 3 months have passed by of the year 2008. Analyst says that Video Games sales rose by 35%. Analyst says that there is more to come. As the popularity of video games continues to rise, so will the popularity of all facets of the industry. And although the gaming business has been booming for years, 2008 will surely prove to be its breakout year.

Super Genintari 4 in 1 Console

The above picture is of Super Genintari which is the latest Mega Console mod by Richard DaLuz. The above Bronze-Acrylic case consists of Atari 2600, Nintendo Entertainment System, Genesis and Super NES. The Super Genintari connects to a TV using a single cable via a A/V cableand and is capable of running four games simultaneously and it also cooks bread with the generated heat. Richard DaLuz spend started working on this project from 2002 and finished it now in 2008!!!

Unreal Engine 4 will be more Consoles biased!

The CEO of Epic games, Tim Sweeny has revealed that a small team of developers has already started working on the Unreal Engine 4 and that it will be more focussed for the Console platform and will not be just tied to the PC platform. The Unreal Engine 4 won’t be exclusively for Consoles only though, a PC version will be there as well.
This may be good news for Console owners after the troublesome Unreal 3 Engine for PS3 but it will all depend on how quickly the Unreal 4 Engine can be optimized for future consoles which are likely to be quite different from each other. No Doubt that Valve and Blizzard make the PC gaming platform unique but consoles are looking quite hard to be stopped with their online gaming and high resolution capabilities

EA Mobile LineUp for Mobile Devices

EA Mobile which is a division of EA’s Casual entertainment has announced that many of its popular games are available for smartphones which includes devices which use Windows Mobile and Symbian as their operating system.

These Games will include the hit titles like Tetris and Bejweled.EA Mobile has already released many of the blockbuster games for the Symbian OS which includes Doom,Fifa and TheSims.

“With Shipments of Symbian Smartphones reaching over 200 million to date and the consistent growth in their sale,the commercial opportunity for providing compelling content is clear. We Look forward to collaborating further with EA Mobile on bring many more leading game titles to Symbian Smartphones” said Jerry Panagrossi,Vice President and General Manager of North American Operation,Symbian.

EA Mobile has been working closely with Research in Motion(RIM),the manufacturer of Blackberry to release several titles for the Blackberry platform including Tetris, Scrabble, Tiger Woods, SimCity and recently Monopoly.
